Cookie Policy
What Measura stores on your device. On this website: nothing at all.
1. The short version
This website sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recording, no embedded video, no social widget and no font CDN. Nothing you do here is measured or sent anywhere, and no third party learns that you visited.
That is why nothing asks you to accept anything. A consent banner here would be asking permission for something that does not happen.
2. This website
Every public page was loaded in a browser with storage cleared, then asked what it had been given. On every page, nothing:
- No cookies, first-party or third-party.
- No
localStorage,sessionStorageorIndexedDBentries. - No service worker.
- No request to any origin other than this one. Typefaces are served from this site rather than from a font CDN, precisely so that loading a page does not disclose your IP address to a third party.
Cloudflare, our web host, sees your IP and user agent in routing the response, as any host must. It sets no identifier of ours. Listed with every other party we rely on in the privacy policy.
3. The Measura dashboard
The dashboard stores three things, all strictly necessary to provide the service. None is used for advertising, profiling or measurement.
| What | Kind | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-…-auth-token | Cookie | Keeps you signed in between page loads. Issued by Supabase, our authentication provider. Without it every navigation would sign you out. | Until it expires or you sign out. |
measura-theme | Local storage | Remembers whether you chose the light or the dark appearance. | Until you clear your browser storage. |
measura.activeTeamId | Local storage | Remembers which workspace you were last looking at, so the dashboard opens where you left it. | Until you clear your browser storage. |
Before you sign in, the dashboard stores nothing either. This was measured the same way as the marketing site above.
Why none of this asks for consent
Consent is required for storage that is not strictly necessary for a service the user has actively requested. A sign-in token for a private dashboard you have chosen to log into, and two preferences you set yourself, are the textbook example of storage that is necessary. If we ever add anything that is not, we will ask first, and this page will say so before we do.
4. Controlling what is stored
Because this site stores nothing, there is nothing here to opt out of. In the dashboard you can clear the two preferences at any time through your browser’s site-data controls, and signing out removes the authentication cookie. Blocking the authentication cookie entirely will prevent you from staying signed in, which is the one thing it does.
Browsers also offer global controls, and we do not attempt to defeat them. We do not use device fingerprinting, cookie respawning, local shared objects, or any other technique whose purpose is to survive a user clearing their storage.
5. If this changes
Adding analytics, an embedded video, a chat widget, a social button or an advertising pixel would all change the answers above. If that happens, this page is updated before the change ships, and anything that is not strictly necessary will be asked for rather than assumed.
